The service will alert you to the most key stories of the day and, if applicable, breaking news from around county Louth too. We will typically send you two or three messages a day, plus you’ll get our Audio Bulletins sent straight to your phone.

The LouthNow.ie WhatsApp alerts service is free and available to all.

How do I subscribe?

First, make sure you have downloaded WhatsApp onto your iOS (available via the App Store) or Android (Google Play Store) mobile device. 

Then, select which WhatsApp News Alerts you would like to receive by clicking the relevant link below. Your WhatsApp application will open on your mobile device, with the recipient and text fields already filled. All you have to so is tap send.

You will receive a text message confirming you number is to be added to the relevant Alerts service. Please allow 5-6 hours for your number to be added to the list.

How do I unsubscribe?

To opt out from receiving LouthNow.ie WhatsApp news alerts, simply text ‘STOP’ in response to any message you receive in the feed you would like to unsubscribe from. You will no longer receive any text communication from us.

Can I respond to your News Alerts?

If you would like to respond directly with your views or comments on our news alerts, you can do so. Please note, LouthNow.ie will not be able to respond to each text message reply.

Any message you send us will be received by LouthNow.ie editorial staff and cannot be viewed by other subscribers to news alerts.

How will my data be used?

LouthNow.ie will only use your phone number to send updates via WhatsApp or, only if you reply to a news alert, to respond in some instances. You can read our Privacy Policy here.
