According to the Teachers Service Commission, TSC, primary school teachers would be given preference for the openings needed to fill the teacher shortage during the operationalization of junior secondary schools, JSS.

According to the announcement, the window will run until February 6 in 2023. In addition, the teachers’ employer clarified that only teachers serving under permanent and pensionable terms of service (P&P) in public primary schools are encouraged to apply

To qualify, candidates will be required to have at least C+ (Plus) mean grade in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificate or any other assessment equivalent to it.

In addition, TSC stated that interested persons should have at least a C+ (Plus) in the two teaching subjects at Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent.
