Three upcoming fall anime to watch out for | Lifestyle

The weather may be cooling down, but these fall anime drops will turn up the heat. Here are three different anime pics to look forward to this year.

“Spy x Family: Part 2”

“Spy x Family” starts off this list with a bang, especially considering how successful the first part of the season was. Written by Tatsuya Endo, “Spy x Family,” is an action comedy series about spy agent Twilight who goes on mission after mission to stop the potential war between the countries Ostania and Westalis.

For his mission, Agent Twilight disguises himself as Loid Forger and adopts young child Anya to carry out his plans.

The show is comedic as you watch Twilight navigate the role of a father and husband. He quickly learns working with a six-year-old is not as easy as it seems. However, his fabricated family bond yields an unexpected and wholesome outcome. If you love old school spy movies with thrilling action or cutesy comediesthis show brilliantly combines two polar opposite genres that surprisingly blend well. The meticulous details on the characters’ facial expressions, like Anya’s meme-like persona, are aspects you can’t find on other shows.

“Spy x Family: Part 2” releases on Oct.1 and will be available to stream on Crunchyroll and Hulu.

“Chainsaw Man”

“Chainsaw Man” is another heavy hitter coming this season that has recently been adapted into an anime.

“Chainsaw Man,” written by Tatsuki Fujimoto, is an action adventure series following Denji and his pet devil Pochita who helps transform parts of his body into chainsaws to pay off his debts.

From the trailer, MAPPA studio did a great job with its beautiful gory art and action-packed scenes. The story is not meant for the faint of heart with constant violence, bloodshed and dark themes. The characters, including Denji, aren’t perfect and carry tragic backgrounds. They lie, steal, manipulate and hurt others for their own selfish gain or for the safety of others. However, there is a level of appreciation for the balance of realism and fiction in an animated show. The progression of the series coupled with the amazing animations make it something more special than the typical shounen anime. If you don’t mind gore or violence and can appreciate a complex storyline with even more complex characters, you might want to give “Chainsaw Man” a shot.

Fans of this manga have been excited about this series adaptation. “Chainsaw Man” will be available to stream on Crunchyroll on Oct. 12

“Suzume no tojimari”

“Suzume no tojimari” is a movie to look forward to from none other than the Japanese director who does it all, Makoto Shinkai.this film is a fantasy adventure film that follows the 17-year-old Suzume in a town on the Japanese island of Kyushu.

Suzume finds a door in the mountains surrounded by destruction; becoming drawn to this door, Suzume embarks on a journey of going through many doors in different parts of Japan.

Like all Shinkai films known for their vibrant color palettes, the trailer is absolutely breathtaking with its artwork, with every scenic background looking incredible. The trailer does not spoil many details about the doors and their purpose, but hints to something bigger for the viewers to discover. The need to find out why the doors are placed there is enough to get viewers hyped, but coupled with the beautiful soundtrack just makes the adventure even more epic. This movie is for lovers of Shinkai films, the epitome of anime art design, fantasy, mysteries and looking into the unknown.

“Suzume no tojimari” releases on Nov. 11 and can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
