The World is going to end! Jaguars, Lions and Jets won in the same week

Week 2 of the NFL has been strange, to say the least, and that is that three teams that have accustomed us to lose much more than they win in recent years, changed the narrative at least during this series of games, we are talking about the Jacksonville Jaguarsthe Detroit Lions and the New York Jets.

Although it may seem hard to believe, it took 11 complete seasons (2011) to have a week in which the Jaguars, Lions and Jets won in the same day and this happened after games with surprising results.

Indianapolis Colts 0-24 Jacksonville Jaguars

Last season’s worst team by record was the Jaguars, however, they eliminated the Colts in the last week and that trend continued this Sunday, when Jacksonville achieved the eighth shutout in the history of the franchise and increased to eight the winning streak at home against Indianapolis.

The Jaguars intercepted Matt Ryan three times, while Trevor Lawrence had one of his best games of his nascent NFL career, completing 25 of 30 passes for 235 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Washington Commanders 27-36 Detroit Lions

If the Jaguars were the first overall pick in the last draft, the second spot went to the Lions, who selected University of Michigan defensive wing Aidan Hutchinson and in only his second game as a pro he has been absolutely dominant with three sacks of Carson Wentz.

Wentz, who was the second overall pick in the 2016 Draft, lost this Sunday to earlier pick Jared Goffwho shined with two of his four touchdown passes to Amon-Ra St. Brownwho was the leading rusher (68 yards) and receiver (116 yards) for the “Motor City” team.

New York Jets 31-30 Cleveland Browns

The Browns were leading by 13 points after the 2-minute warning, but in Cleveland anything can happen and the unthinkable happened, the Jets with Joe Flacco turned the game around.

The MVP of Super Bowl XLVII with the Baltimore Ravens came back in time and showed that great version of nine years ago to complete the miraculous comeback with touchdown passes to Corey Davis and Garrett Wilson.
