In marking its quindecennial year of operation in Jamaica, Huawei has opened a brand new 9,000 square-foot location at 97 Hope Road, Kingston. Among the invitees to the grand celebration were Prime Minister Andrew Holness; Deputy Prime Minister Horace Chang, and Chinese Ambassador to Jamaica Chen Daojiang. A $300-million investment, the new space will house the administrative, human resource, research and development and tech departments as well as meeting rooms and a restaurant.
