/ The death has occurred of Joseph (Joe) McConnon

Bronx, New York and formerly Beechmount Drive, Dundalk, Louth. Suddenly, at home, on Tuesday, November 10 2020. Beloved husband of Katie. Predeceased by his parents Owen and Mary and nieces Olwyn and Freya Cunningham. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife, heartbroken sisters Aine (Long Island, USA) and Breige Cunningham, brothers Patrick, Eoin (Perth, Australia) and Damian, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and many many friends.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Benedict’s Church, 2969 Otis Avenue, Bronx, NY 10465 on Monday, November 16 at 10.30am. A livestream of the ceremony can be viewed by following this link.

/ The death has occurred of Bridget (Bridie) Lynch (née Murphy)

Newtownbalregan, Dundalk. Peacefully, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Patrick (Paddy) and devoted mother of Bríd, Paddy, Kenneth, Eamon and Amanda, sister of Kathleen Bolton and Eddie and Gerard Murphy. Predeceased by her brother Patsy and parents Patrick and Bridget. Bridie will be sadly missed by her husband, sons, daughters, daughters-in-law Doris and Karen, sons-in-law Declan Rogers and Ciaran Rice, grandchildren Sarah, David, Mark, Niamh, Stephen, Conor, Patrick, Aaron, Aoife and Rián. Also by her sisters-in-law Marie, Bernie and Rosaleen.

Due to Government guidelines Bridie’s funeral will take place privately on Monday morning at 11am in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kilkerly. Only 25 family members may attend the Funeral Mass and cemetery. Bridie’s Funeral Mass can be viewed on Monday morning via this link.

/ The death has occurred of Joey (Joseph) Leech

Maple Drive, Drogheda, Co. Louth, November 15 2020. Peacefully, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Joey (Joseph), beloved husband to Bertha and loving dad to Susanne, Gary, Alison and Karen. Sadly missed by his wife and family, son in law Stephen, daughter in law Yvonne, grandchildren Adam, Luke, Gráinne, Tara, Roisín, Cillian, James and Ryan, brother Michael, sisters Maeve and Gertie, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace

Due to Government guidelines regarding public gatherings (a limit of 25 family in the Church), Joey’s funeral will be held privately for immediate family only. Funeral will be streamed live here (Lourdes Church) on Tuesday November 17 at 2pm followed by cremation in Dardistown Crematorium, Dublin.

Augustinian Community, Ballyboden and formerly John’s Lane, Thomas Street. Peacefully in Saint Vincent’s Hospital, Elm Park, November 14 2020. Pre-deceased by parents, Cornelius and Rosaleen and his brother Con and his baby sister Rosemarie; deeply regretted by brothers Gerry, Charlie, Brian, Paul and Denis; his sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends and all his Augustinian Confreres.

Medical Missionaries of Mary, Drogheda, Co. Louth and formerly of Kilteevan, Co.Roscommon. November 14 2020. Peacefully, in Aras Mhuire Nursing Home, Drogheda. Predeceased by her parents, Matthew and Josephine, brother Joe, sisters Mary and Elsie. Sadly missed by her sister Ena Staunton of Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon, her brother Mattie, many nieces, nephews and their families, relatives and many friends, and her MMM Community.

/ The death has occurred of Diarmuid Ó Cathasaigh

Howth, Co. Dublin, and formerly of Mullacrew, Co. Louth – November 14 2020, in the tender care of his family, after a short illness. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Áine, his daughter Aoife, sons Rónán and Naoise and their families, his sisters Bernadette (Ruddy) and Mary (Böck), brother Michael, extended Lalor and O’Donoghue families, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Diarmuid is pre-deceased by Máiréad, his parents Patrick and Angela and his sisters Kathleen (Waters) and Sr. Pamela.
