Dundalk-based band Just Mustard were among the first acts announced for Electric Picnic today, as Rage Against The Machine, Snow Patrol and The Chemical Brothers were announced as headliners.
Featuring on the Electric Picnic bill comes as a boost for the band who were due to fly out to Texas this month for the SXSW festival in Austin, before it was cancelled amid fears of a coronavirus outbreak. Just Mustard were due to perform a showcase at one of the biggest alternative music industry events in the world.
2020 will mark the second year the band have taken to the stage at EP – a year after their debut at Ireland’s biggest festival. The five-piece fronted by Katie Ball are also on the bill of September’s End of the World festival in Dorset and Blue Dot in July, as well as Indiependence in Cork in September.
Among the other acts announced for the festival – which is sold out – include Lewis Capaldi, Picture This, Foals, Ian Brown, Run The Jewels, Denzel Curry and Little Simz.
Just Mustard’s debut album ‘Wednesday’ was nominated for a Choice Music Prize in 2018. They followed it up with two singles ‘Frank // October’ and Seven last year.
