A pop-up shop will open to the public for five days at the end of the month to raise money for Rape Crisis North East – and organisers are on the lookout for donations to be made for their stock.
The pop-up will be in the Longwalk Shopping Centre from Tuesday March 31 to Saturday April 4. Volunteers are asking for anyone who may have used items, bits-and-bobs or equipment to please donate – and are also encouraging visitors to come and pick up a bargain too.
All proceeds will go directly to Rape Crisis North East CLG, to assist in them helping to provide a much needed counselling and support service to the increased number of women, men and young People attending the service.
The shop will be open from 10am and 5pm daily. If you would like to donate goods, contact the RCNE office on 042 933 9491 or bring your donations directly to the shop from Monday, March 30.
Among the many services that RCNE offers is a Helpline Service which provides an invaluable service to many victims of rape and sexual abuse who need someone to talk to. All telephone volunteers are trained to listen, support and offer information and counselling support to callers who use the line.
You can call the Helpline, for free, on 1800 21 21 22. For more visit, https://www.rcne.ie/.
