The Eastern Regional Finals of the Junk Kouture 2020 competition takes place on Monday March 2 in Dublin’s The Helix.

This year, eight entries from County Louth, will compete in the competition. These include three each from St Vincent’s Secondary School and Colaiste Ris in Dundalk and one each from Bush Post Primary School and Dundalk Grammar School, also in Dundalk.

Junk Kouture is an annual fashion competition where secondary school students use recycled materials to design, create and model high end couture.

Allowing students to use elements of fashion, design, engineering and environmental sustainability participants can transform everyday refuse into stunning couture fashion. Now in it’s tenth year, the Junk Kouture competition has seen over 40,000 students take part.
