The third annual Friends of St Oliver’s 5K Race takes place on Saturday March 21 – and online registration for the event is now open.
The race raises much-needed funds for St Oliver’s Community Hospital located on the site of Louth County Hospital in Dundalk. Those wishing to take part can now register via MyRunResults.com.
Registration costs €15 for an adult, €10 for a child (Under 16) and €40 for a family of four. A small service fee will also apply.
Last year, more than 200 runners took part and organisers this year are hoping that even more will put the St Oliver’s 5K in their calender for the year ahead. There will be cash prizes for first, second and third in both the male and female categories and the first 200
finishers on the day will receive a commemorative medal.
There will be also be an opportunity for registration at Dowdallshill GAA Hall on the Newry Road on Friday March 20 from 6.30pm to 8pm and then again from 9am on the morning of the race, which starts from the GAA club grounds.
A spokesperson for the event said; “Whether you are a runner, walker or you simply just want to support the event, please sign up online and join us in helping to raise much needed funds for this very worthy cause.”
Tea, coffee and cakes will also be provided along with a raffle for all participants. This year’s event is kindly supported by Dundalk Credit Union.
