Our photographer Kathy Gilroy-Barry was busy at the count centre in Dundalk all day on Sunday, working hard to capture the agony and the ecstasy of candidates, family and supporters as counting in the Louth constituency took place. With counting set to resume on Monday morning, only Imelda Munster and Ruairí Ó Murchú have been elected thus far.
There’s three seats to fill with five candidates – Peter Fitzpatrick, Ged Nash, Fergus O’Dowd, Declan Breathnach and Mark Dearey – in contention. We’ll be there – and so will Kathy – on Monday to bring you it as-it-happens.
