Bookies back Harry Potter star Evanna to cast her spell on DWTS US

The Irish actress has already made it through to the semi-finals of the long running dance competition ABC television and some are backing her to go all the way.

Termonfeckin’s Evanna Lynch is the joint 3/1 second favourite to be crowned Dancing With The Stars US champion later this month.

The Harry Potter star is one of six celebrities who have made it through to the semi-finals of the popular ABC dance competition and bookies have her narrowly behind Dallas and Fuller House actor Juan Pablo Di Pace in the running to be crowned champion of the 27th series of the long running show.

Evanna, 27, has been paired with South African dancer Keo Motsepe throughout the competition and the duo were the last couple to be saved from elimination during Country Week on Monday night’s show.

Despite scoring a joint top 30 points for their Rumba, they finished in the bottom three and narrowly avoided elimintatoon at the quarter final stage. That marks the second time in the series the popular duo have been the last to be confirmed as safe for another week.

In next Monday’s week eight show, Evanna and Keo will undertake two comtempory dances as they face off against Di Pace, model Alexis Ren, actor Milo Manheim, radio star Bobby Bones and ‘Grocery Store’ Joe Amabile for places in the final.

The Luna Lovegood star, who attended Carton National School and Our Lady’s College in Drogheda, appeared in four of the widly successfull Harry Potter franchise films. She also starred in My Name Is Emily, the Irish film written and directed by Simon Fitzmaurice.
