The new public park being built alongside the new Colaiste Chu Chulainn and Colaiste Lu school campus at the Marshes in Dundalk will not provide public access to the school campus, it has been confirmed.
The issue was raised by Louth County councillor Oliver Tully at last week’s JPC meeting, in which the Fine Gael representative aired concerns over child protection given the park was being inside the current site of the long awaited new school.
However, Louth County Council’s Director of Services Frank Pentony said, “I can allay your fears.
“The public park will be totally separate from the school. It will have a separate entrance.”
