The December draw for the Ardee Credit Union Members Car Draw took place at the Annual General Meeting held earlier this month at the Bohemian Centre in Ardee – Colette McKenny of Stoneylane in the town is this month’s lucky winner.

Colette’s name was drawn out at annual general meeting Ardee and she is now the proud owner of a brand new Seat Toledo car, supplied courtesy of Conachy’s Garage in Dunleer.

Colette called into the Ardee branch on Church Hill in the town on Tuesday afternoon to collect her prize from branch manager Niall Lambert and she was notably thrilled with his surprise win. Sporting a Christmas jumper, her festive season just got so much better.

Her win follows previous winner Patrick Rafferty of Springhill in Tallanstown and James Durrigan Jnr from Stickillen who won the car in the October draw of the popular members initiative. After three straight months of men’ winning cars earlier in the year, Colette’s win has seen the ladies end the year on a high.

This month’s prize of a Seat Toledo is the 108th car be to be given away by the Credit Union in the monthly car draws.

Each month, the Ardee Credit Union Members Car Draw gives members the chance to win a new vehicle to drive away in. Since the competition began ten years ago – in 2006 – Ardee Credit Union itself has given away over €1.6 million in prizes, including the 108 cars and over €65,000 in additional cash prizes.

In the last year, they have given away 12 cars and over €7,000 in additional prizes to their members.

Any adult member of the Credit Union can enter the monthly draw. All they have to do is become a car draw member, at a cost of €60 for the full year beginning in October of each year.

The draw is completely funded through car draw membership fees. To become a car draw member, just call into the branch and fill in an application form today.
