Volunteer Louth are seeking candidates to fill music and storytelling roles in Ardee – at the Irish Wheelchair Association centre and St Joseph’s Hospital.
The Irish Wheelchair Association in Ardee are seeking people who can play an instrument – and maybe even sing – who would be interested in visiting the centre for one or two hours per week to entertain their service users.
The successful candidate would be asked to interact well with people, be friendly and dependable. Ideally, they would be well versed and have experience to some degree with arts, music or drama.
The IWA are looking to bring in a music volunteer to give their time on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Candidates will be required to undergo an informal interview and Garda vetting for the role. You can apply for the role by clicking here.
St Josephs Hospital are also seeking a music volunteer. The HSE-run extended care facility for older adults hope to bring in a volunteer or volunteers to entertain their residents with music and song for a couple of hours daily seven-days-a-week.
They are seeking someone who can interact well with older people and advise that any applicants need to have photo ID, Garda vetting and references. Volunteer Louth say this is a great opportunity in terms of gaining work experience for anyone interested in nursing/caring professions.
