The date for the 2018 Ardee BAFTA Awards has been announced – with the now annual event celebrating the best of business in Ardee set to take place on Saturday, January 13th at the Nuremore Hotel in Carrickmacross.
Tickets to the gala event now on sale with the organising sub-committee of Ardee Traders & Business Association now hard at work to put together the popular black tie event.
The BAFTA (Baile Atha Fherdia Traders Association) Awards is now a staple in the social calendar for employers, employees, friends and family throughout the town. The 2018 awards night will take place a little later than usual – on Saturday January 13th at 7.30pm in the Nuremore Hotel in Carrickmacross.
There will be a drinks reception before a lavish four course meal followed by the awards, music and lots of fun throughout the evening too. Tickets are priced at €50 and those interested in tickets or booking a table are asked to get in touch with the Traders as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Suggestions are also being requested for awards and nominations, so feel free to submit those to [email protected] too.
Last year’s event saw seven awards handed out on the night – including McGoey’s Pharmacy picking up the gong for Best Customer Service, while Keith Kerr’s KK Construction was awarded the title of Best Newcomer for 2016.
Noelle Douglas and Paul Farrell won the Businesswoman and Businessman of the Year respectively. Ardee Concert Band emerged victorious in the Best Community Involved Group category while Callaghan’s Butchers won the Age Friendly Award.
William Martin – producer of the Wild Goose Lodge movie – won a special award for his efforts in bringing the local story to the big screen.
