Residents across Ardee are being asked to notify local councillors, Louth County Council or SSE Airtricity about street light outages across the town.

A survey was carried out on the main street and in some housing estates in the town on Friday evening, with some lights on Carrick Road roundabout and the main street on Friday by SSE Airtricity engineers. But, not at all lights have been fixed – and with the dark evenings now having arrived, Independent councillor Jim Tenanty has urged locals to alert local reps if lights are out.

“If lights are out anywhere, contact myself, Louth County Council or go on the SSE Airtricity website and report the fault there,” he told ThisIsArdee.ie.

According to the SSR Airtricity website, there are currently a number of street lights without working lamps in Ardee. These are located on Market Street, Old Chapel Lane, Sean O’Carroll Street, Hale Street, Slaibh Breagh, Tower View on Stoney Lane and Couirt na hAibainn on Tierney Street.
