A drug crime specialist will be in attendance at next month’s Ardee Mid-Louth Local Policing Forum to inform members of the public about the current situation in the area with regards to drug related crime.
The Dundalk and Drogheda meetings will take place on Tuesday October 3rd and Monday October 9th respectively, before the Ardee & Mid-Louth meeting is held on Thursday October 12th at Ardee Parish Centre. It begins at 7.30pm.
A public meeting, representatives of An Garda Siochana from the Louth Division, including new Chief Superintendent for Louth Christy Mangan and Ardee Garda Superintendent Fergus Treanor are expected to be in attendance, alongside other local officers.
Members of the public will be given the opportunity to put questions to the Gardai and local councillors and officials from Louth County Council, who will also be in attendance. The drug crime specialist will be speaking at all three meetings.
On Thursday, officers raided several properties in Ardee town in relation to the sale and supply of drugs locally. Two arrests were made and a quantity of drugs were seized.
