Michael English, who earlier this summer released his new single Ten Guitars, is coming to the Nuremore Hotel in Carrickmacross in October – all in aid of Ardee Hospice.
The country music star will take to the stage at the Nuremore Hotel on Thursday October 26th, with special guest on the night Brendan Shine. Tickets are on sale now and cost €20. They are available from the Nuremore Hotel or by calling Paddy Sherry on 086 355 5555.
Alternatively, you can call Ardee Hospice on 087 244 9444. As ever, Murtagh will open the show at what is now an annual country music fundraiser for Ardee Hospice. Doors will open at 7pm on the night, with the show starting at 8pm. There’ll be lots of spot prizes on the night, too.
Last year, Mike Denver headlined the concert whilst back in 2015, Jimmy Bucley was star of the show. Derek Ryan headlined in 2014. All of the shows have proved very popular and have acted as an important fundraiser for the hospice – hence it’s return again this year.
In 2016, the fourth annual concert – organised by Paddy and Bernie Sherry – made €11,740 to go towards the hospice’s services. In total since it’s beginning in 2013, the concert has raised €36,895 for Ardee Hospice.
Speaking to ThisIsArdee.ie last year, Paddy Sherry said. “I do a lot of hospital transfers for Ardee Hospice and in 2013 I decided to give something back as it is such a worthy cause. The hospice supplies free taxi transfers for cancer patients, and in some cases financial help, help with heating bills etc. All this is there without quibble for people in Ardee and surrounding area.”
