Westerns GFC will host a Golf Classic in the Nuremore Hotel, Carrickmacross on Friday, 18th August, as they continue to raise funds for the club’s new development at Reaghstown.
Work is currently in progress for a new community venue in the area. This follows the opening of ‘Phase 1’ of the club’s development, which consisted of new clubrooms, a walking track and a new playground on the grounds of the clubs.
‘Phase 2’ will consist of a new, modern community centre, ideal for classes, meeting rooms and a base for the club going forward. The club hope to complete this development within 12 months.
The upcoming Golf Classic is Westerns GFC’s main fundraiser of the year and the club are asking all to come out and give their support.
Registering a team of four people for the Golf Classic costs €180, including a round of golf and a steak dinner afterwards. Alternatively organisers are accepting sponsors for tees and greens at a cost of €50.
