Local youngster Âna Grimes performed superbly well on the national stage on over the weekend, finishing 14th at the Craobhacha Rince Náisiúnta na hÉireann (The Irish Nationals) to qualify for the world finals in Glasgow next year.
The youngster, who dances with the David Moore School of Irish Dancing in Drogheda, produced some stunning dances to finish 14th out of a total of 184 dancers at the City West Conference Centre in Dublin. Now, she can look forward to representing Ireland at the World Irish Danicng Championships in Scotland.
Âna’s achievement follows hot on the heels of her most recent trip to Glasgow earlier this month where she competed in the Glasgow Festival Of Irish Dancing, winning second and third place prizes in various categories.
The Craobhacha Rince Náisiúnta na hÉireann is in it’s sixth year of competition and is open to boys and girls from aged seven up to adult mens and ladies competitions.
