Actor Dominic Purcell, best known as Prison Break’s Lincoln Burrows, stopped off in Ardee on Wednesday where Brian Muldoons & Sons was among his stops in the town.
He stopped off at Muldoons for dinner last night – for the second time in a week. “He was in last week as well and liked it so much, he wanted to come back again,” Tom Muldoon told us.
Also stopping off at Hamills lately, the actor sampled the black stuff whilst in Ardee. Thankfully, the sun was out and he could enjoy the beergarden too.
Purcell is very familiar with the area as his mother’s family is originally from Louth Village. He has previously paid visits to the area, spending time in Dundalk especially. He’s even told Muldoons staff that he’ll be back in Ardee before too long too – he’s planning on coming back when he visits family at Christmas.
The 47-year-old Britsh-Australian actor was born in the UK but grew up in New South Wales. He had small roles in shows such as Home and Awat before moving to the Unites States to pursue his acting dream.
Purcell will be most well known to Irish audiences for his role in the Fox drama Prison Break, which returned in 2017 – eight years after it’s original run came to an end. It’s latest series ended it’s run in the US on Tuesday. The show was originally broadcast on RTE Two in Ireland.
