Works have got underway on a stretch of the N2 between Ardee and Carrickmacross, with motorists warned to expect considerable delays at peak times in the area due to the roadworks.
Over a 3km stretch of the busy road around the Tattyboys area, works including resurfacing and drainage work is being carried out with work expected to last up to six weeks. Work commenced yesterday (Monday May 29th) with Stop and Go traffic management in place. The project is a major Transport Infrastructure Ireland funded initiative.
Some commuters reported ‘massive delays’ on Tuesday morning so motorists are advised to give themselves additional time for their journey if they are travelling on the road.
