Callaghan’s Butcher and Delicatessen will close for four days next week to facilitate a “fresh and modern” makeover of the popular Ardee outlet.
The store will close on Bank Holiday Monday, 1st May until Friday, 5th while work is carried out on the premises to improve the overall look and feel and customer experience.
Among the improvements will be increased space throughout the store, as well an expansion to the popular deli section, with Callaghan’s looking to keep up with the latest trends with this refurbishment.
“It’s been 11 years since the last refurb. I’ve been over in Holland speaking to people and looking at various ideas for the new look. It will be fresh and modern…and funky!”, Peter Callaghan told ThisIsArdee.ie.
Callaghan’s has been a feature of Ardee for over one hundred years, spanning four generations. Being ingrained in local business, Peter was keen to enlist the services of local tradesmen for the refurb. “One thing we wanted to do was keep the work local, so we’re using local tradesmen and companies on the job.”
The new look Callaghan’s will reopen on the morning of Friday, 5th May and will coincide with their Annual Super Meat Sale, which is due to run from 5th May until 20th May.
