Ryan Burns was the star of the show on Sunday as Louth maintained their 100% record in the Allianz Football League Division 3 with a 2-13 to 0-14 win over Offaly in Tullamore – and now you can help the Hunterstown Rovers star be named the GAA.ie Football Player of the Week.
Burns was instrumental in Louth’s victory over Offaly on Sunday, scoring 2-03 to ensure Colin Kelly’s side top the standings ahead of taking on Antrim in Drogheda on Sunday in a repeat of last year’s Division Four final in which the Wee County.

Having barely featured in the run to the O’Byrne Cup final last month, Burns has hit the ground running in the league. The Rovers man struck 0-03 in the opener against Laois and added another 0-05 in their narrow win over Longford. After the trip to Offaly, the youngster’s tally for the league campaign stands at 2-11. He is well on course to better his personal tally from last year’s Division Three. Then, he notched 1-22.
Westerns GFC midfielder Tommy Durnin also started the game for Louth and he split the posts in the second half while Ardee St Marys man John Bingham was a late substitute.
Thanks to his goalscoring heroics, Burns is now in the running for GAA.ie’s Football Player of the Week accolade. He’s up against Galway’s Gareth Bradshaw and Monaghan’s Jack McCarron – and you can help Ryan win.
