Established in 1940, the Ardee unit of Order of Malta has been in existence for 77 years and serves the community in a variety of ways.

Since it’s foundation, the Ardee unit has been a regular presence at football matches and community events – and continue to do so now. In the early days, the OoM’s remit went far beyond first aid and included assisting the vulnerable and needy in the community too.

For decades, Ardee has performed tremendously well at national and regional competitions– excelling among other units from across the country.

Over 75 years on, Ardee’s Order of Malta unit is as strong and enthusiastic as ever – with members young and old and a cadet programme that continues to thrive. The unit has contributed much to the fabric of life in Ardee over the years and is a continually recognisable presence in the town.
