Kane named ABP chief in Ireland & Poland

A local man has been named Managing Director of ABP’s Irish and Polish operations.

The company – who are based on Castle Street in Ardee – have named Martin Kane as their new head in Ireland and Poland. The 43-year-old has been employed by Larry Goodman’s business for 21 years in a variety of roles within the financial department.


Most recently, he has worked as the Finance director for ABP Ireland and Poland, in which he worked closely wih management on various matters including land acquisition in both countries. He had been working in the role for ten years prior to appointment in his new role.

Originaly from Templetown in Cooley, Martin lives with wife Lorna and his children in Reaghstown. Martin and Lorna are well known and active members of the community in Reaghstown. Having formerly turned out for Cooley Kickhams, Martin, who had been living in the area since 1999, joined the Westerns in 2001.
