Recruitment info session at Ardee Fire Station

Louth County Council are currently establishing a panel for retained firefighters to be based at Ardee Fire Station.

Interested parties must be between the ages of 18 and 55, both living and working within five minutes of the fire station – for mobilisation and quick response purposes – at the Fair Green in the town and consider themselves to have a reasonable level of fitness.


Application forms can be obtained by visiting the local authority website with the closing date for receipt of completed applications Friday, February 10th at 4.30pm. Further information, such as particulars of office and qualifications for the role, are available from the Human Resources department of Louth County County on 042 932 4383. The qualifications are also available to view here. 

The role of Retained Firefighter has an annual retainer fee of between €7,562 and €10,383. Fire fees and drill rates will also apply.
